Festiva Resorts family skiingThat awkward time between winter and spring is not just for hibernating in your living room; try getting a delightful adrenaline rush by hitting the slopes at one of many ski areas near several of Festiva Hospitality Group’s properties this spring.

In mountains of Banner Elk, N.C., you’ll find a small, friendly community surrounding the Blue Ridge Village. The resort includes homey accommodations with mountain views and your own private deck. Blue Ridge Village is right down the street from one of the largest ski areas in North Carolina. At Sugar Mountain you’ll find ski and snowboard rentals and now ice-skating! Nearby Beech Mountain Resort has it all: snowboarding, snow tubing, skiing, and mountain biking.

Festiva's Blue Ridge Village accommodationsYou’ll have plenty of options for winter sports if you visit the Blue Ridge Village, and a full day of frolicking in the snow can end with getting cozy by the fireplace in your unit.

Festiva’s Rangeley Lake Resort in Maine is also a great place for outdoor enthusiasts. The resort is located in western Maine and is surrounded by quaint New England villages and beautiful lakes where you’ll find plenty of wildlife.

Festiva Maine snowmobilingSnowmobiling is a popular activity at Saddleback, one of the ski areas close to Rangley, and don’t ever worry about having to wait for a heavy snowfall, this mountain gets 225” of snow yearly!  Sugarloaf is another ski area near Rangeley Lake Resort that always finds ways to involve the community in winter activities. This week is the White White World Week which is considered the wackiest week during the ski season. King and Queen skiers are nominated and compete to keep their titles as the best skiers on the mountain. If it is your first time trying out the slopes, don’t be nervous; sugarloaf offers some great affordable deals for ski lessons.

If you’re more drawn to the beauties of the Midwest, visit Mirror Lake and Tamarack Resort in Wisconsin Dells. Here you’ll feel right at home with our roomy kitchens and bedrooms. After you’ve had a day at legendary Cascade Mountain, the closest ski area in Wisconsin Dells, come back to the resort and have a nice relaxing soak in our heated pool. Cascade Mountain will keep you busy all day; the 460-foot ski hill offers 34 trails, four terrain parks and two halfpipes.

Cure your cabin fever with a vacation. There’s still time to get your last rush down the mountain before the sun melts away the snow at these Festiva Adventure Club resort destinations.
