We are happy to announce that we will be running the Festiva Photo & Story contest again throughout 2010. This is a very special year for Festiva as we are celebrating our 10th anniversary, and we want to share it with you.

We feel that celebrations are an important part of vacationing; whether you’re celebrating a birthday, anniversary, graduation, or just the fact that you’re on a trip with your family away from home.  All active Festiva owners and members are invited to share your Festiva vacation experiences with us.

Please submit your photos and stories to contest@festiva.travel using the guidelines below. The deadline for submissions is December 31, 2010 and the winners will be announced by February 1, 2011.

Tell us a story about your most memorable vacation at any Festiva property. Include a photo of you or your family if you wish.

Tips

The judges of our contest are not necessarily looking for the most grammatically correct story or the most professional looking photograph.

We are looking for photos and stories that represent what vacations are really about: spending time with your family, having fun and celebrating.

Be creative. Look at your photo albums to jog memories from your past vacations. Was it a special occasion? Did something interesting happen at the resort? Did you attend a local event?

Make it a group effort. Talk to your family or friends who were with you on your vacation and get the story from everyone who was there.

Involve the kids. Have one (or all!) of your children write the story, or use a creative picture taken by a child.

Submission Guidelines

- Send all entries to contest@festiva.travel. For the story contest, Microsoft Word attachments are preferred. For the photo contest, please send as JPEG or TIF files, minimum of 72 dpi resolution. Files should not exceed 10 MB. Only electronic entries for photos will be accepted.

- Members and owners may submit one entry to the photo and story category per month.

- In an effort to keep the photos as original as possible, please limit photo editing to cropping, red-eye reduction, and basic color correction. Overly edited photos may be ineligible.

- The following information must be provided in order to be eligible:

• Name
• Mailing Address
• Phone Number
• E-mail address
• Name of your home resort or vacation club

Deadline

- All submissions must be received by December 15, 2010.

- The grand prize winners will be announced February 1, 2011.

- Every reasonable effort will be made to contact each winner; however Festiva is not responsible for unclaimed prizes.

Prizes

This year we will be awarding a total of three (3) prizes as detailed below:

• 1st place: 1 week stay at a Festiva property + $1,000 to spend on your vacation (air travel, spending money, etc.)
• 2nd place: 1 week stay at a Festiva property + $500 to spend on your vacation (air travel, spending money, etc.)
• 3rd place: 1 week stay at a Festiva property

Winners must be active owners or members in good standing with Festiva to be considered for any prizes.

Rules & Regulations

- You must own all copyrights to any photographs and stories entered in this contest. It is the responsibility of the contestant to ensure that publication of photographs or stories by Festiva Hospitality Group does not violate any copyright or other applicable law.

- Submitted photographs and stories become the exclusive property of Festiva Hospitality Group. Festiva maintains the right to reproduce and use any submitted photographs and stories (with credits) for all legitimate purposes, including but not limited to usage in publications, websites, presentations, etc., without paying compensation to the photographer or photo subjects or to the story author(s).

- Festiva will not share your personal information, stories or photographs with any other non-Festiva affiliated company or entity without written permission.

- To keep the entries original, Festiva will not edit stories or photos without written permission from the author. If you do wish for us to edit your photos or stories, please let us know in your submission e-mail.

Festiva Hospitality Group is not responsible for entries not received due to lost, failed, delayed or interrupted connections or miscommunications, or other electronic malfunctions.

By entering, participants release and hold harmless Festiva Hospitality Group and all its affiliated companies, as well as any directors, officers or employees of those organizations from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the contest.

If, for any reason, the contest is not capable of being conducted as planned, including any causes beyond the control of the administrators, Festiva Hospitality Group reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, modify, suspend or terminate the contest without notice to the entrants.

All winners are responsible for any and all taxes payable as a result of a prize being awarded or received. Entry into the contest does not create any vested right or interest for the participants in the prizes offered for the contest.
